The US will never abandon capitalism. You have to accumulate money somehow to make the big stuff that advances civilization. Like, the INTERNET, hydroelectric DAMS, transantlantic cables, GPS satellites, etc. Capitalism provides the most effective way to do this, but it also allows greed.

I’ve been harping on this for quite a while. In fact, way back in 2014, I wrote this 2-page membership agreement for corporations to sign on to, so that the blessings of liberty and prosperity could be shared with ourselves and our posterity. WITHOUT additional legislation, taxes, etc. All done in the PRIVATE SECTOR.
Nobody gave it any attention then, and probably won’t now. Whatever.
